Pallone has the most power
Pallone has the most power in D.C., as he's chairman of an important subcommittee.
But in NJ, its probably Andrews, as he has the most statewide notoriety and wide-spread support.
Who has the least? That's more fun!
Its funny that with a thousand years in the Congress that Payne doesn't have more of a legacy of power. One thing for sure-he sure aint Charlie Rangel!

No Clear Winner
I think we need to remember that Andrews lost last time he ran statewide. Pallone has 3 million in the bank and a good amount of power in DC but it doesn't seem to have helped him become a favorite for the next statewide opening, at least not yet. The bottom line is that right now, neither Pallone nor Andrews is willing to take on an 84 year old Senator who according to most New Jerseyans is too old to run for reelection and only modestly beats an unnamed Repbulican. The most likely reason is that both Pallone and Andrews probably realize they dont have the power to win a primary and will make too many enemies if they try. Rothman has an oppurtunity to raise his profile with Obama surging, and since Rothman supported Obama early, you could see Rothman's status increase with an Obama White House. But that's all speculation, right now i think its a draw.
