REPUBLICANS BACK MICHAEL LUTHER FOR MAYOR
Coalition aims to take party politics out of local election
“With Michael, you can be assured that Parsippany’s needs will always come before partisan politics."
- Republicans for Luther -
Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey – A group of Parsippany residents today announced their new alliance, Republicans for Luther. Collectively, although traditionally Republican voters, they will work to elect Democrat Michael Luther to the office of Parsippany Mayor.
“Michael has what it takes to get the job done, states Jack Conway, Republicans for Luther. “The major issues facing Parsippany in the next few years primarily relate to land use and planning. Michael will bring his vast knowledge in these matters to his work as mayor.
Luther is committed to stabilizing property taxes and curbing impractical overdevelopment projects. He will work to secure and preserve additional open space and will seek new ways to control traffic congestion.
As part of their approach, Republicans for Luther are addressing a letter to Parsippany’s voters asking for their support. “Our goal is to both educate and engage the residents of Parsippany, states Bill Clark. “Democrat…Republican…It’s not about that this year. It’s about the best person for the job. And that’s Michael Luther.
"Without a doubt, it’s Michael. adds Conway. "He is the most qualified candidate to lead Parsippany for the next four years."
Luther is vying for the open seat now held by Democrat Mimi Letts. Letts, having served three terms as Parsippany Mayor, decided against seeking re-election early this year. Luther faces opposition by a Republican and Green Party candidate as well as an Independent.
