Lobbyist Bill Layton will become the new Burlington County GOP Chairman. Dawn Lacy, who became Acting Chair when Col. Michael Warner stepped down earlier this year, will preside over the meeting today, but told PolitickerNJ.com that she will not seek election to the post.

The Layton/Paulsen ticket has changed the face of BURLCO GOP
for me - a bunch of chauvinist "pay-to-players". Not an organization to be proud to be affiliated with. May they reap what they have sewn. Can't wait for the next round of campaigning!Good Luck Puppet Layton while trying to convince the members YOU are what it means to be a Republican.
Good Luck Bill!
Good Luck to Bill Layton. You have broad support as you move forward.
That meeting was impressive.
There had to be 200 to 300 people there. I am glad to see the party unite behind Bill Layton. We now need to put this sad chapter behind us and move forward as a united GOP.
This was one for the history books
First we had the 12 days of Torricelli, now the 4 week of Dawn Lacy. Like the Democrats before us, we will move forward and face our common enemy on the partisan otherside.
Thank You
Good Luck Bill, I know you will do a great job just like you did last month.
Hopefully the Burlco GOP isn't done cleaning house.
Sheep to the slaughter.....
The corruption continues......but now maybe we'll be watching. The questions remain. Follow the money. Where do those campaign funds really go? Why did Farias flip when he's the one who started all this (just see where Farias ends up working next Jan)? And where are Phil Haines' balls (watch where he ends up working)?
It all smells pretty bad. But you can't blame Layton. If Paulsen makes a sharp turn Bill would break his nose, which is pretty brown by now. Layton is nothing but an empty suit who can't wipe his ass without Paulsen's permission.
Instead you have to blame all the scared, weak minded folks like Strobel, Drinkard, Woodend, Addiego, Rudder.....etc. They're the reason that pigs like Paulsen exist.
But it's only round 1. Watch for round 2.
Sour Grapes
We won, you lost - get over it!
Keep watching, all you want. You will lose Round 2 also. You want to know why?
BECAUSE YOU ARE A LOSER!!!! THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU WILL ALWAYS BE!!!!
TIME FOR ATONEMENT
The name-calling and mudslinging on both sides really must stop now. It is time for everyone to make a good faith attempt to work as one Party and do our best to get along, in spite of our differences. Lacy says she will, Layton says he will, and so using these blogs to continue to re-hash the dirty laundry undermines their ability to do what they say they want to do. Let's give it a chance. If it doesn't work, all bets are off. But it deserves a chance, and we should all move forward with cautious optimism.
I agree lets unite not fight
Meanwhile:
B.Haines, Wujcik, Stanfield
Will be using the visitors entrance. Sooner the better.
(sorry couldnt help myself)
Round 2? Why?
It is these constant negative attacks and innuendo that caused Dawn to fail.
She could have really made a difference but her tactics were bizarre and made people question her motives.
Had she reached out to all the winning candidates and worked TOGETHER to make the organization better, she would still be in good graces and working with the party.
Instead, she and her allies constituently attack good people like Strobel and others simply because they disagree with her.
Time to move forward. 2007's election numbers compared to the 2006 numbers speak for themselves.
This party is a great party and we need to continue the momentum and get Chris Myers elected to Congress and two Freeholders winning by record numbers.
Any effort that is contrary to that is simply playing into the hands of Norcross.
If you have a problem, work within the system and stop airing your grievances publicly - nobody wants a public debate as evidenced by the standing-room only crowd at yesterday's meeting.
200+ ppl there
But only 80 or so were county committee members. The rest were curious or kool aid drinkers. Most were ordered to be there or lose their county job.
Bitter to the end
Get over it. Move on. You are only hurting the party chances of electing good people next year. Stop being selfish.
That meeting was impressive.
You people are the new Republicans Stupid and Losers can't wait to tell you all that again when you all go DOWN with the LOSER SHIP and then it will be to late like everything else you do in your life.
Layton/Paulson perfect together in their own World of CRAP.
