The political clout of Garden State Equality Chairman Steven Goldstein continues to grow -- as does the influence of his organization among political insiders. After members of the gay community were angered by controversial comments made last week by Democratic State Committee Executive Director Diane Legreide, Goldstein was able to quickly negotiate a peace accord that enhanced the power of his members while ensuring that the party would step up its efforts to expand the representation of the gay community at state and county committtee levels.

This is the future of the Democratic Party my friends, allowing the inmates to run the asylum. Now Democrats are pushing a bill that would require school districts to hire transvestites as First Grade teachers. That might sell in Hoboken or Princeton, but not the real world. Since the Gay Lobby gets everything they want, it will be interesting to see how Paul Sarlo and Ellen Karcher's constitutents view their affirmative votes on this legislation when they run next year.

Why are Republicans ALWAYS looking to divide people based on race, gender identification, sexual identity, etc?
The bill that NJ Equality is pushing wouldn't REQUIRE school districts to hire transvestites; it would simply prohibit the districts from discriminating against potential employees simply because they are transgender (by the way, that's the proper way to refer to those who would be protected by the bill). In any case, there is already an Appellate Division opinion prohibiting discrimination based on gender identity; this bill would simply codify that decision. So, listen you DUMBASS CONSERVATIVE, stop trying to divide people with LIES to further your socially fascistic agenda.

Keep it up Steve, Republicans can't pay a guy like you enough to keep moving the Democrats farther and farther to the left. And you can call them anything you want. I call them TRANSVESTITES.
Now coupled with your party's decision to raise sales taxes for free Viagra for welfare recipients, it sounds like the 2007 elections are coming together quite nicely.
And then there's all those MCGREEVEY tax hikes. Looks like you guys are really "controlling the agenda", doesn't it?

You're right on. I somehow don't see Lyndhurst or Oceanport being happy about pandering to the radical left or a 100 other moderate towns represented by a Democrat in the legislature.
The people over at BlueJersey and Nj For Democracy think they speak for all Democrats in NJ but its far from it.

GroverCleveland, the R's are still at the junior varsity level when it comes to racebase politics. You guys always find it convenient to wage rich against poor, white vs black, educated vs DUMB, whitecollar vs union etc. So lets not get on anyone's case for calling a spade a spade or a queer a fag.
I assure you I am not Steve Goldstein, you DUMBASS CONSERVATIVES
I assure you I am not Steve Goldstein, you DUMBASS CONSERVATIVES. New Jersey is one of the most liberal states in the country and passing a law (that's largely symbolic by the way) prohibiting discrimination is not that controversial among the general populace. The only people offended by this stuff are close minded FOOLS like yourselves. Keep it up you Schunderites. That's way the Dems keep winning in New Jersey!
Mighty defensive sounding if you ask me.

I also want to say that PulaskiSkywayConservative is a bad man. He has sent me personal emails and a letter in the regular mail disparaging me and my friends. He doesn't even have the guts to tell me who he is.
