Mark Warner's decision not to seek the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination puts a fundraising superstar back on the market: John F.X. Graham. The Co-Chairman of John Kerry's New Jersey campaign is extremely popular among Democratic insiders and his decision to sign on for Warner was viewed as a major coup for the former Virginia Governor's fledgling campaign. Graham, Alfred DeCotiis, the head of a politically active North Jersey law firm and a Democratic National Committeeman, and Michael Kempner, who opened a powerful lobbying firm after working as Bob Torricelli's top fundraiser) had brought the virtually unknown Warner instant credibility in New Jersey political circles.

State Sen. Wayne Bryant, who is under federal investigation for allegedly holding no-show jobs at a state medical college, was among the speakers today at Bob Menendez's campaign event at the Kaighn Avenue Baptist Church in Camden that featured U.S. Senator Barack Obama of Illinois.
"It's too bad John Lynch, Sharpe James, Jim McGreevey, Bob Torricelli and the rest of the corrupt machine didn't have an opportunity to speak as well," said Jill Hazelbaker, a spokeswoman for U.S. Senate candidate Tom Kean, Jr.
I knew that Bob Menendez was arrogant but, GOOD LORD!

I'm surprised and upset that he's not running. A centrist Governor was the right candidate in my mind, as I come from the "anybody but Hillary" wing of the party.
Now I have no idea who to support. Edwards, perhaps if he can find his way to NJ on time....
