John Kerry has endorsed Frank Lautenberg for re-election to the United States Senate, praising the New Jersey Senator for being one of just “eleven brave Democrats” who voted to end the Bush Iraq policy at a time when “no one wanted to come within a mile of the legislation” to bring combat troops home.
“The Senate needs progressive warriors like Frank Lautenberg,” said Kerry, the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee. “People who show up when it counts and fight 'til the bell rings.”

Because we were all so blown away by the quality and political instincts of this guy, who managed to lose to the worst president in the Union's entire history.
