MIKE KAPLAN AND KELLY KIRK ENDORSE THE DONOVAN SLATE
Last year's BCRO's candidates the latest to join the Donovan Team
(BERGEN COUNTY) – Kelly Kirk, a 2005 Bergen County Republican freeholder candidate and Ramsey attorney, joined her former running mate Mike Kaplan by endorsing The Donovan Team in the June Republican Primary Election.
Kathleen "Kathe" Donovan, the Bergen County Clerk is running for county executive on a ticket with incumbent freeholder Elizabeth “Lisa Randall who is running for re-election. They are joined on their slate by Fair Lawn Councilman Ed Trawinski and attorney Jae Kim of Palisades Park who is running for surrogate.
“The Donovan Team represents a talented, enthusiastic and most importantly -- an electable -- slate of candidates that have brought a breath of new life into our party," said Kirk. “The last Republicans to win countywide office are Kathe Donovan and Lisa Randall and I believe they have the ability to win again in November. "
Kirk noted that Trawinski beat incumbent Fair Lawn Mayor David Ganz in Fair Lawn last year, a predominantly Democrat town. “Ed proved that with the right message and hard work, Republicans can win in battleground communities, said Kirk.
Kirk said Donovan will bring skills to the county executive’s office that have been lacking under the current Democrat incumbent. “Kathe Donovan has a proven track record as a successful executive, running one of the largest, revenue producing departments in county government. She has the experience and the business skills Bergen County taxpayers need to return fiscal responsibility to Bergen County, said Kirk.
