EATONTOWN-Matt Doherty and Jim Reilly, the Democratic Assembly candidates in the 11th Legislative District, received the endorsement of the New Jersey Regional Council of Carpenters (NJRCC) today.
"We believe that you share the same basic fundamental values that the members of our Council view as instrumental towards improving the quality of life for New Jersey's working families," said Frank Spencer, the Executive Secretary Treasurer of NJRCC.
According to their website, www.njcarpenters.org, the NJRCC is a nonpartisan statewide force working on behalf of candidates and legislation that serve all of New Jersey's working families. Their grass-roots activists have helped to elect officials who promote good government, better schools, and a fair deal for more than 18,000 carpenter families and for the responsible contractors who employ them.
"We are pleased to receive the endorsement of the New Jersey Carpenters," said 11th District Democratic Assembly candidate Matt Doherty. "As we move forward through the election and beyond, we hope to continue working with them to ensure that New Jersey has a strong economic future."
"Organized labor is the backbone of our state and we are proud to have the support of the carpenters," said 11th District Democratic Assembly candidate Jim Reilly. "We are working to improve the lives of working families both in the 11th District and across New Jersey and the support of New Jersey's Carpenters is a testament to that goal."
