The System is the Problem
The legislature whacked up the districts like the mafia whacked up the garbage collections; the only way to get rid of incumbents is in the primary.
Chris Smith is Social Conservative but a Fiscal Liberal. Perhaps the Republicans can primary him out with a Social Conservative that is a Fiscal Conservative too. However, anyone who tries to dump a RINO is considered to be the enemy and an outcast within the party.
When the GOP starts demanding standards to run for office, it could become dominant once again. That possibility is not in the near future since they overwhelmingly reelected Tom Wilson. All Tom Wilson does is attack Democrats for doing what Republicans did when they had contol because Democrats do it harder.
Wilson must spend more time in the area of "Quality Control" and throw out the "seconds" and not try to market them to the voters. If he did that Republicans might stand a chance.
Any successful company never intentionally puts an inferior product that doesn't meet 100% of the product's standards on the market because the reputation of the company is its best asset. The GOP is now facing the problems that Ford Motors is facing, people don't trust the brand. Thank you, RINO's.

Thank you Ultra Conservatives
I have 1000 times more respect for Chris Smith than Scott Garrett..
Thank you for continuing to advocate splitting the party and alienating independent or moderate minded New Jerseyans with a message of unacceptance and hatred.
You have no freaking logic at all and your obviously locked in your room because if you even understood Smith's district, or most of New Jersey for that matter, you would know the candidates you advocate would have no shot in hell.
Demanding Standards ?
What standards do you need today in the NJ Republican party ? Answer: The standard is being a well healed attorney or a well healed W.A.S.P Nothing else matters
Just say it aint so....Joe
Smith's vulnerability is in the primary
Outside of abortion, Smith is as liberal as Rush Holt or Steve Rothman. A nice guy but a real lefty.
I dare any ultra
I dare any ultra conservative to challenge smith in a primary.
Prepare for huge backlash and a big fat loss.

"However, anyone who tries to dump a RINO is considered to be the enemy and an outcast within the party."
You have nobody to blame for that but yourself. The sooner you accept the fact that the GOP is a big tent party where everybody isn't going to have the exact same philosophy, the less inclined you'll be to be a monkey wrench.
