Teddy Pedersen, a former aide to Gov. James E. McGreevey, says he engaged in a threesome with the former Governor and his estranged wife, Dina Matos McGreevey, according to stories posted this evening in the New York Post and The Star-Ledger.

Who cares

Really who cares. The media continues its march into muck. News flash the President is preping for war with Iran-what page was that on today?

Leftist Boomers

McGreevey slept around with men and handed out state jobs to his boy toys.  Corzine gave millions to his union girlfriend to get union support.  Spitzer spent tens of thousands on hookers.

Does any of this come as a surprise from far-left secularist socialists?  When will New Jersey and America wake up and realize what the far left is really all about?

How blue my Jersey?

It's a wonder SJ Blue gets any sleep at all what with the world on the brink of such calamitous ruin.  You must be a blast to be around at parties.  Like Ted Striker in Airplane, eveyone who gets stuck talking to you ends up trying to blow their brains out just to get away. Lighten up, Francis!  Revel in the frivolity of the moment.  This story is important if only because it momentarily takes our minds off of other things.

I suppose New Jersey just couldn't stand not being the local embarassment, and just HAD to one-up Spitzer!  Oh yeah, and shelter his hooker

NJ & Scandal Perfect Together

NJ could not be out done by our neighbor in the tawdry dept...

We'll see your hooker and we'll raise you a three some with the staffer...

what's next?

03/17/08 9:52 am

I'm fine at parties

My point is this-McG is old news. I dont care if he slept with his driver, his wife, both at the same time, with Golan Cipel, I simply couldnt care-who does care? Why would anyone? Why would a news paper focus on this when there is so much else for news papers to report on. Talk about decline in society, when Newspapers devote this much attention to sex scandles and not to the war, war profiteering, the presidential campaign...or the hundreds of other news stories that can impact the lives of us all. It is not secular leftists that are bringing this country down, its the falsely convicted religious right. I dont believe for a second that Karl Rove, George Bush and DIck Cheney give a crap about Jesus. But they realized its were you can go to get votes. That is perhaps the most morally reprehensible act of all. Thomas Jefferson was a secular leftist by your definition, John Adams, Ben Franklin, and George Washington would have all been socially radical leftists.

Oh, SJ. . .

Our Founding Fathers were church-going conservatives who believed in absolutely limited government.  They threw tea in Boston harbor to protest overtaxation.  I suspect that they'd be taking sledgehammers to our tollplazas if they lived in modern NJ.

As for the newsworthiness of McGreevey's trysts, yes, McGreevey's escapades are news.  He hired his boy-toys - on your dime, I might add - and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for the absolute fraud that he is.  Again, so long as the Clinton's, McGreevey's and Spitzer's of the world escape prosecution for their crimes and misdemeanors, those who follow in their footsteps are more likely to stretch the law.  That's why Democratic leaders like Lynch, Bryant, James & Coniglio end up in courtrooms defending their actions.

Once again, it's time to hold our elected officials to higher standards.  MUCH higher standards!

NJ Taxpayers getting it every way

This  confirmes that liberals are screwing the NJ taxpayers right, left and center..

Corzine also has a big bed that includes Katz and her UNION SICKOS

Your misunderstanding

of our founding fathers withstanding-it is not a crime to sleep with an employee and he would have had a driver sexual relationship or not. I noticed that you left out the multitude of Republicans with sexual skeletons in their closet...

03/17/08 10:56 am

Good Grief. . .

SJ, this is a NJ state political website, but because you haven't a leg to stand on, you keep turning to national politics.  GOP scum in Minnesota or Louisiana are not on my radar screen.  Still, you've never seen me defend their actions and you never will.

As for McGreevey, it's not a matter of sleeping with employees, it's a matter of hiring those people for positions they are ill-suited for.  Furthermore, fooling around in the office on company time (like Clinton did) would get you fired at your job.  Slick Willie's actions with Lewinski are indefensible.  If he wanted to fool around with interns at night in the residential part of the WH, I would defend his privacy 'til the cows come home.

@JoeSchilp You insinuate

@JoeSchilp

You insinuate that there is some sort of connection between sex scandals and Democrats.  Well, of course you do, you are just a shill for the ultra-conservative Heritage Foundation.

In fact, both parties have had their fair share of sex scandals, but Republicans really take the cake when it comes to the sleaziness of their sex scandals.  Remember Jim Bakker? Parker J. Bena?  Mark Foley? Bob Packwood?  And what about Bill O'Reilley's phone sex and threesome talk?  John Bolton's orgies?

You can read more about how hypocritical the right-wing are when it comes to self-righteousness about sex scandals:  http://salem-news.com/articles/october172007/repub_scandals_10_17_07.php

03/17/08 12:22 pm

We're talkin' Jersey

Again, ubu, this is a Jersey site and I'm talkin' Jersey politics.  Bakker, Packwood, et al, are not Jersey politicians.  in fact, Bakker and O'Reilly are not elected officials and don't have to hold up to the scrutiny of the voters, so I don't even know what their relevence is to the discussion, other than you trying to deflect criticism from NJ Dems.

Stick to the relevant facts. . .  Here in NJ, we need to hold our officials to a MUCH higher standard.  Do you agree with that?  Or not?

03/17/08 1:00 pm

First of all, your

First of all, your allegation was that Democrats have a monopoly on corruption and sex scandals.  Its just not true.  Limiting yourself to Jersey politicians is a debating cop-out.  Both Bakker and O'Reilly are prominent Republicans and they are politicians.

But to play your game briefly, there is Jim Treffinger and Matthew Scannapieco, both Republicans.  I'm sure that they are others.

Its also probably true that there are more corrupt Democratic politicians in NJ than Republicans...but this has more to do with the fact that New Jersey elects more Democrats.  I'm sure that in predominately Republican States, there are more corrupt Republicans than Democrats.

And I don't understand why NJ politicians are so corrupt...it transcends party boundaries.   Where do we get these idiots from?
