Bergen Democrats say the status of the 37th district "changes hourly," but to expect State Senator Loretta Weinberg to run for re-election on the organization line. Last Friday, the state Attorney General's office granted Weinberg, Assemblyman Gordon Johnson and Assemblywoman Valerie Vainieri Huttle approval to move to the BCDO line, as requested by their attorney, Angelo Genova. But confusion remains, with Weinberg expected to go to court on Friday as part of a suit to be bracketed with her Freeholder candidates. Ninteen days ago, Weinberg appeared at a news conference with County Chairman Joseph Ferriero to declare a peace treaty; the Ferriero-backed opponent to Weinberg, Englewood Mayor Michael Wildes, dropped out of the race.Â

will Loretta jump off the BCDO line if she can't run with her Freeholder candidates?
Seems to me maybe that's what Joe Ferriero wanted the whole time...then he's not the "bad guy" anymore.
Deal, what deal?
Does anybody really think that the deal was that Ferriero would not only allow Weinberg, Johnson, and Huttle to run on the BCDO line, but also to throw his Freeholder candidates off the line for Weinberg's (who were place holders at best) and also throw off all of his local/municipal candidates in favor of Weinberg's? I think Weinberg is having a senior moment and taking advantage of Corzine's situation to rewrite history.
