Chance for Industry Professionals to Discuss Issues Face-to-Face

(TRENTON) - Assembly Deputy Speaker John S. Wisniewski, chairman of the Assembly Transportation and Public Works Committee, today held a public meet-and-greet with New Jersey Department of Transportation Commissioner Kris Kolluri, Esq., to discuss 2007 transportation initiatives with industry professionals and the public.

"New Jersey's transportation network is a huge part of our state and national economy," said Wisniewski (D-Middlesex). "Its continued health and growth directly influences billions of dollars in commerce and the lives of millions of commuters annually."

The annual transportation meet-and-greet allows industry professionals and members of the public a chance to discuss transportation issues in an informal setting with the commissioner and the chairman.

"I am very pleased to be able to join Assemblyman Wisniewski today as we prepare to move forward with our plans to meet New Jersey's transportation goals for the future," said Kolluri. "Transportation is literally the engine of New Jersey's economy and the input from our residents, such as those we have heard from here today, plays a vital role shaping those transportation goals."

"Informal meetings like today's help us ensure that everyone has a voice in our state's transportation future," said Wisniewski. "Suggestions and concerns voiced today will help impact the direction our transportation network takes tomorrow."
