State Sen. Diane Allen has stopped short of entering the race for Jim Saxton’s House seat, or even announcing an exploratory committee. Instead, she has formed a Congressional Campaign Advisory Committee as a prelude to a bid for the open third district House seat. Burlington County Sheriff Jean Stanfield and Freeholders Bill Haines and Jim Wujcik will serve on the committee.

Why?
AKA: The anti-Paulsen team, dumb move Diane.
Go Team Lacy!
Diane needs to clean up the mess she made before anything else.
Call for a vote - get a chair - solidify the base.
Doing anything before then is a waste of time and a guaranteed loss for Diane.
Question
Is Allen still making demands for a $2 million appearance fee (Ed note: the entire amount of funds the NRCC currently has to defend every seat in the country is $1.5 million) to run for the Republican nomination? Heaven forbid she actually have a platform, set of initiatives, or constituent-driven interests in mind behind her possible congressional run.
MartinOne at it again
You continue to post nonsense Martin. Allen was re-elected by a wide margin because of her record, her constituent services and her wilingness to challenge the party leaders. Every time you disparage her reputation with distorted statements, you lose credibility. Just ask your buddy Denny. He will tell you it doesn't work. Allen will go through a thoughtful process and make a decision based on all the facts. Your only hope of getting a Dem across the finish line in this race is if she decides not to run. Throwing BS at her only strengthens her resolve. Remeber - she took on CBS. Do you think she is afraid of a challenge? I think not.
Let's Move On NOW!
Diane Allen would be the best Candidate - R or D. She should just announce and get this thing moving. New Jersey cannot afford to have an all Democratic Congressional Delegation.
Answer
Rich Dennison.
(Ed note: With Dennison now venison, Marty should go back to reading Tennyson)
MartinOne loves to dig that hole.....
Sooner or later reality will hit him. Nice job by Martin Two.....very funny!
3rd
If Allen can win the NJ 7th she would win by a landslide in the 3rd. 1 in 5 dems vote for her.
Martin ignores facts
Martin, no where have I read that Senator Allen demanded any money for this race (although she did demand that Glen Paulson release the money she had raised for her last race - where she creamed your sad little buddy Dennison). You are just angry that your little buddy lost not only the race but nearly every media story as well. Move on Martin.
I'm fed up with the system!!
Anyone holding an elected office should be banned from seeking a higer office. To put is simply, they should resign their lower office effecive as of announcing the candidacy for the higher office. All this crap would stop.
There is no cost to a candidate to move up while keeping thier lower office. If they would have to resign their lower office, they would be less likely to stirve for an office that they could not win. The "It's my Party too" crowd would never give up the sure thing to advance abortion rights in New Jersey, on a gamble to spread it's contamination of the Republican Party nationally.
If NJ ever gets I&R, we could finally get around to fix the system.
We could get term limits, elimiate duel-office holding by state statute, move state elections to the even years so that sitting legislators could not run for the House or U. S Senate, move school board elections to November to get more participation, provide universal school choice, and overturn the destructive effects of the tyranical NJ Extreme Court. None of these common sense policies are possible through the legislature because they would never relinquish thier strangle hold on the people's freedom, rights, and property. That is why we will never see I&R.
