$8 million magnificent reasons

Morris County Freeholder John Inglesino is leaving office in a few weeks – the victim of a bad ballot position that removes perhaps the most intellectually superior and politically savvy county official from public service.

Now, with the tribute to Inglesino over, he did leave himself open to one opportunity for abuse.  Earlier this year, he told PolitickerNJ.com’s Matt Friedman that while he was “not going to participate in all of the speculation” about the 2009 gubernatorial campaign -- "the only people who speculate about things that happen that far out in advance are fools,” Inglesino explained – he did have kind words for one of the likely candidates: Chris Christie.

"I can tell you that I have extremely high regard for him. I think he's done a magnificent job at the United State Attorney,” said Inglesino.  That’s stating the obvious – of course Inglesino things Christie is quite magnificent: Stern & Kilcullen, the North Jersey law firm where Inglesino is a partner with Herbert Stern, has billed over $8 million as the federal monitor for the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

I saw this 8 million dollar figure and screamed

With joy.  Finally someone exposed the real reason why Stern and his minions were called in to oust Petillo and crew. Please this was all about the benjamins. Chris Christie played this perfectly, screaming headlines about UMDNJ every single day for a year  about what? NO BID CONTRACTS!! Ha ha ha  Ashcroft must be laughing while he backs his van in to the bank to cash his Chris Christie largesse.  Alas, Inglesino only needs a mini-van.  His payday was not as steep.    The first donors to the Chris Christie for Governor campaign-Stern aides, Inglesino aides, Ashcroft aides (they never make direct donations-they only like NICE Margolin phone calls)  The hits keep rolling!! Hilarious
